Qvevri - an egg-shaped clay vessel with a conical (rarely flat) base, a narrow neck and a disc-shaped head, used for making wine or storing grain. The use of the qvevri is specific - it is buried in the ground and hermetically sealed.
Due to the great love and culture of the people on the territory of Georgia for grapevines, 525 local Georgian complex grape varieties have been propagated and developed through selection over many thousands of years.
