Georgian sparkling wine? Yes why not? Georgian sparkling wines do not have as long a tradition as Georgian wines – they have 8000 years of history behind them – but what is not can still become known. According to this motto, the oldest Georgian winery "Telavis Marani" decided a few years ago to launch its own sparkling wines on the market from 2017. Thus, this Georgian sparkling wine is a world novelty, so to speak.
And it is surprisingly good. A refreshing and pleasant perlage on the tongue is followed by a fruity, delicate flavour on the finish. Although the sparkling wine is brut, it does not come across as too dry.
